Websense facilitates safe web surfing by managing access to inappropriate websites, as well as preventing access to sites identified with security threats such as Trojan horses, malicious mobile code, keyloggers, and phishing scams.

Operators can leverage the Websense Wireless solution to check subscriber website requests against the Websense database to verify that access to content is appropriate for the subscriber and the site is free of security risks. If access is not acceptable or the site poses a security threat, access will be blocked and the subscriber presented with a block message.

The typical implementation architecture provides multi-layered and bi-directional policy enforcement.
